Ok, so this is the last blog. I have mixed feelings about it being the last one. We were told to make a post here for the past 10 weeks and comment on what was on other people's minds. People that are complete strangers. At first, I didn't know if I was going to be able to do this, but it came easier than I thought. I actually liked posting these blogs and reading what others posted. I have comtemplated continuing posting, I wonder if others have too?
Well I about got my kithchen floor finished. Jim ended up being gone most of the week. He got the linoleum down yesterday. It looks nice. He worked hard to make it right. He just needs to put the quarter round on the bottom and he will be done! I am so thankful to have a husband who has so many talents.
My roses are blooming beautifully! So pretty. I love Spring.
I hope everyone has a good Spring Break. Me, well I will be at work!

Weekend Post
I don't log into Moodle for one day and theres several messages from Ms. Smith and one from Ms. White in BIG BOLD RED LETTERS to check my email about classes this week. Will someone tell me what happened? How does a power outage effect Moodle?
Dakota and Cassidy were out of school on Friday for some doctor appointments. I checked the mail on Saturday and in the box sat one of those red letters that come from the School Board about unexcused absences. Do you know that they start sending these letters out at three unexcused absences. I hadn't had the chance to turn the doctors excuses in yet! The school is out for Spring Break this week. I don't think I think this new system they have! I know its there to keep the parents informed; but when you have four kids that go to three different schools and they are calling with announcements, they are calling when an assignment isn't turned in or their are tardy to class. I get a two calls for each, one on my cell phone and then one on the house phone. Most of the time I can't make out what the COMPUTER is saying. I can get the same information off of JPAMS and I check it frequently. I think the parents should get to chose what they want to be called about whether they want to hear about the announcements, or the next fundraiser or when the school event is.
Jim started replacing the floor in the kitchen this weekend. He ripped up both the carpet and the lineleum (we had both in the kitchen) because the metal trim that connects the two was coming up and couldn't be nailed back down again. We were tripping over it and hurting our feet on it so it needed to come up. We thought it was going to fairly easy. After taking up the carpet we found out it was going to be just laying more linoleum back down. We live an older house so of course there were many layers under the carpet, it had a big bow in the floor that had to be fixed first before the new linoleum could down. He worked on it all day before he had to leave to go to Lake Charles this afternoon. It looks a lot better. He got the floor fixed. He will be out of town the next few days so he'll finish when he gets back. I can't wait! Hurry Home Honey!

Texting Teens
I had never been to this site before. They had several interesting articles. I wonder why the hyperlinks are not underlined? I chose this article because between the both of us we have three teenage boys and a girl that is getting there fast. The oldests are constantly texting, even the thirteen year old goes to bed texting. They sleep with their phones! Every morning when i go in to wake them up for school, I find it in the bed. I suppose they just like the feeling of knowing that it is with them while they rolling around on it sleeping. Other than being anoying at times, having to watch it; I wonder is it really hurting anything?

The Sleep Over
Last Thursday was my daughter's eleventh birthday. I kept putting off the actual planning of the party off because I wanted to hold on to her last days as a little girl as long as I could. She is the last of my babies growing up. She is growing up so fast. Come Thursday I really hadn't had anything set into stone as to how her birthday was going to go. I knew she wanted to go skating and have some friends spend the night. I asked her if she wanted me to come skating with them and of course, she didn't. So that is what we did. I paid the way for her and four friends to go to Hot Wheels on Friday and skate from 7-11 and then brought them back home with us after it was over. I told her brother Dakota that he could lock his door before going to bed. It was five the next morning and I could still hear them giggling from the other end of the house. The weatherman had forecasted rain all weekend. Thank goodness he was wrong and the rain held off for Saturday; they were able to get out and not be trapped inside. I was so glad. I should have had a set time for the parents to come pick them up. I kind of figured at least one would end up spending the whole weekend; but not all of them! They all ended up staying until Sunday! I was glad I stocked up on chips, dips and snacks because other than cooking hamburgers on Saturday thats what they had to eat. Although I was glad for them to go, so I could get my house back in order, they really were no trouble. I went to bed at my normal time and Cassidy had a birthday that she will never forget.

Aggravation
I was aggravated this evening upon getting home from the grocery story and dumping the cookies into the cookie jar only to see that they didn't even fill it half way up. I would have had to buy at least another bag to get even close to the top! Again today, I put gas in the truck the same amount I always put in which usually gives me a half a tank dissappointed to find out it didn't give me that. If I wanted to buy 2 bags of cookies or put $70.00 in gas in my truck at one time I would; but I shouldn't be made to!!

Which one is it?
I think this is kind of funny so I will share it with you. This is one of those I can't believe you did that moments! The other day I was on the phone while heading into work. After parking my truck I realize when I was getting out I was missing something - it turned out to be my keys. I look back in the truck and find them still in the ignition so I reach over, pull them out, hit the lock button and head on into work. I have to be at work @ 7:30. I came back out @ 11:00 to go lunch. I heard a vehicle running; I couldn't make out which one was running. I didn't see anyone in their vehicle? I leaned over towards the car parked next to mine trying to see if it was that one. I get into my truck only to learn that it was one still running! OMG!! How did that happen? That thing ran out there for 3 1/2 hrs. I was lucky I had gas in it! I usually run it close to E otherwise I would have been stuck -madder than an old wet hen cause I couldn't go to Walmart at lunch!

Weekend Fun
Jim and I went out of town this weekend with two other couples. We loaded up our four wheelers and headed over to Texas. We have been meeting the couples that were with us on Friday evenings to shoot pool and dance going on ten years now. A few weeks ago we picked this weekend to go do something different. We decided to go to Silverstar Saloon in Terrell, Texas. We had heard they had live bands playing on Fridays and a huge dance floor! When we got there we found out the Extreme Midget Wrestling Federation was there this weekend. Everyone had doubts about going to watch; but we were there - so we did. Before the show had began I thought it was strange seeing little kids walking around even though they were with adults, this is a bar!?! The show had parts in it that were very provative; certainly nothing that any little kid should see. We came close to walking out. We stayed to hear the band play afterwards. They were good. On Saturday, we rode over to Jacksonville to go to the Muddy Gras at River Run. Jim let the Garmen take us there, which is not always a good thing, it took us down the windiest back roads that were through the middle of nowhere. The couples that were with us had never been four wheeling the way we do - in the MUD!! We did not let the rain put a damper on things. When we finally got there we had so much fun! There were tons of trails and tons of people! We were so muddy and wet! I'm so glad we got to go! Maybe they will want to do it again sometime!
