Which one is it?

I think this is kind of funny so I will share it with you.  This is one of those I can't believe you did that moments! The other day I was on the phone while heading into work. After parking my truck I realize when I was getting out I was missing something - it turned out to be my keys. I look back in the truck and find them still in the ignition so I reach over, pull them out, hit the lock button and head on into work. I have to be at work @ 7:30. I came back out @ 11:00 to go lunch. I heard a vehicle running; I couldn't make out which one was running. I didn't see anyone in their vehicle? I leaned over towards the car parked next to mine trying to see if it was that one. I get into my truck only to learn that it was one still running!  OMG!! How did that happen? That thing ran out there for 3 1/2 hrs. I was lucky I had gas in it! I usually run it close to E otherwise I would have been stuck -madder than an old wet hen cause I couldn't go to Walmart at lunch!

  1. I don't think I have ever heard of that happening. How did the vehicle stay running without the key in it? You may want to get that checked out. I don't think you should be able to yank the keys out of the ignition if the vehicle is still running. I am glad everything worked out for you.

  2. Lol. That is wild! I don't think that is suppose to happen. I am glad you weren't out of gas! The stupidest thing I did was lock my keys in my car,but luckily I took my dog for a ride and the ack glass was down so I just borrowed my neighbors little girl to crawl through and get them. I was lucky!

  3. I have a bad habbit of running low on gas too. I'm to lazy to get out and pump it. This is a story that you will remember forever. Seems like someone would have asked around to see whose truck was running with no one in it. You did.

  4. Luckily, my car doesn't do that. If I take the key out, it stops running.
